Living a Lifestyle of Worship
Worship is truly a mystery to be unpacked and solved and yet it is so simple at its foundation. It boils down to "love God" and "love your neighbor as yourself". When focus of discussion on worship erodes to what is "good or bad worship", the Lord helps us remember to "love and serve". Loving and serving sets our attention and focus on what really matters in worship. It is like a compass pointing north at all times so we know what direction God is calling us to as true worshipers.

Quiet Moments With God
It was like many other mornings before I left to go to work that day. I put on my coat, gathered up my back-pack, grabbed my lunch, and then walked around to each of my four children to give them a kiss on the cheek, give them a squeeze and tell them "I love you".
However, I had started to notice a trend.
Just as I would open the garage door to head outside, my youngest son (Luke) would suddenly realize I was really leaving. It was as if he wasn't really paying attention when I came around to kiss/hug him and tell him that I loved him just a few seconds earlier. But at the sound of the door opening... look out!

Holy Thin Space
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall, God will help her at break of day. (Psalm 46:4, NIV)
There is a concept in Celtic tradition called, thin places. These are places or spaces where the veil between heaven and earth is lifted and one is able to sense the glory of God. They become holy spaces where you experience the precious nearness of God. What are holy places for you--those spaces where you are more aware of the most high God he draws you up into his arms and whispers his love to you? They could be actual places. Or, they could be verses of scripture, memories, songs, or practices that you find especially meaningful. ...
